Medical and health research data analysis

Turn raw research data into clear, reviewable results.

ZaTafa MedStats helps researchers move from dataset preparation to analysis, tables, figures, and an editable results narrative in one structured workflow.

Designed for students, clinicians, health researchers, and research teams.

What it does

One guided workflow for common research analysis tasks

The platform organises the process so that cleaning decisions, analysis choices, results, and exports remain easier to follow and review.

Upload and review your dataset

Start with a CSV or Excel dataset and review the variables before analysis begins.

Improve data quality

Identify common data-quality problems, standardise labels, and prepare a cleaner analysis file.

Run structured analysis

Generate descriptive summaries and apply suitable association, regression, or survival workflows where appropriate.

Create publication-ready tables

Produce clear tables organised around your variables, groups, outcomes, and research objectives.

Build figures and visual summaries

Create charts that make distributions, comparisons, trends, and key findings easier to interpret.

Prepare research outputs

Review generated results text and export tables, figures, cleaned data, and supporting analysis files.

Step-by-step guide

From upload to final research outputs

Follow these steps and pause to verify the data and statistical decisions at every stage.

01

Prepare your dataset

Arrange one participant or observation per row, use clear column names, and remove names, phone numbers, file numbers, or other direct identifiers before upload.

02

Open ZaTafa MedStats

Launch the platform, sign in or create an account, then start a new analysis project for your study.

03

Upload the data file

Select your CSV or Excel file. Confirm that the headers, number of records, variable names, and data types were read correctly.

04

Review cleaning suggestions

Inspect missing values, inconsistent labels, duplicate categories, dates, and numeric fields. Approve only changes that make sense for your study.

05

Define the analysis

Enter your research objectives and identify the outcome, exposure, grouping, time, and adjustment variables needed for each objective.

06

Generate tables and figures

Run the selected analysis, inspect the assumptions and results, then refine table titles, labels, categories, and figures before accepting them.

07

Review and export

Check every statistic against the dataset and study design. Export the cleaned data, tables, figures, analysis code, and results narrative you need.

Outputs you can review and use

Keep the complete analysis package together so supervisors, collaborators, and statisticians can review the work more efficiently.

  • Cleaned and harmonised dataset
  • Descriptive and comparison tables
  • Objective-based charts and figures
  • Association, regression, or survival outputs where applicable
  • Editable results narrative for Chapter 4
  • Exportable files for review and reporting

Use it responsibly

ZaTafa MedStats supports the analysis workflow, but the researcher remains responsible for the dataset, study design, statistical choices, interpretation, confidentiality, and final report.

Remove personal identifiers before uploading data.
Confirm that variable types and category labels are correct.
Check assumptions and suitability of every statistical test.
Verify generated numbers against the final cleaned dataset.
Ask a statistician or supervisor to review complex or high-stakes analyses.

Start your analysis

Take your dataset into a structured MedStats workflow.

Prepare a de-identified dataset, define your objectives, and review each result before using it in your research report.
